Biographies

Gabriele Bonfiglioli

Chief Investment Officer, COIMA

Graduated in Business Administration at the University of Rome, he studied Real Estate Finance at the University of Amsterdam, UVA. Bonfiglioli is currently Key Manager, responsible for Investment Management at COIMA RES (since 2015) and Chief Investment Officer, Investment & Capital Markets of COIMA SGR. Bonfiglioli worked in the Beni Stabili Group SGR, and was actively involved during the raising phase of the first mixed contribution and blind pool capital Italian fund for international investors. Bonfiglioli was a member of the Hines group of Investment and Performance Global Committee until 2014. With more than 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, Bonfiglioli has followed transactions worth more than three billion Euros. During his career, he has negotiated rental contracts for over 100,000 square metres and loans for more than one billion Euros.

Méka Brunel

CEO, Gecina

Méka Brunel is a business leader in the real estate industry. She is an ETP engineer and FRICS and has an Executive MBA from HEC. From 1996, she held a range of management positions at Simco, which later merged with Gecina. In 2006, she became Chief Executive Officer of Eurosic, before joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2009 as Executive President Europe. She has been a Director at Gecina since 2014 and was appointed as its Chief Executive Officer in January 2017. Fully involved in both community life and industry associations, particularly as Honorary President of the HQE-France GBC association, ViceChairwoman of the Palladio Foundation, Chair & Director of EPRA, Director of FSIF, Méka Brunel was also President of the Greater Paris Metropolitan Authority’s Development Board from 2017 to 2021. Méka Brunel has been honored with the title of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur. Lastly, Méka Brunel was named Professional of the Year in the 2013 and Pierres d’Or awards in 2018.

Manfredi Catella

Manfredi Catella is graduated in Economics from Cattolica university in Milan and holds a Regional Planning and Real Estate master from the Polytechnic university of Turin. Catella is COIMA REM shareholder and CEO, and COIMA RES founding shareholder and CEO. He is chairman of the COIMA REM real estate company, founded in 1974. Manfredi Catella was responsible for the Italian business of the US group Hines and worked for JP Morgan in Milan, Caisse Centrale des Banques Populaires in Paris, Heitman in Chicago and HSBC in Paris. He is currently President of the Fondazione Riccardo Catella and is a member of the Bocconi University and Assolombarda Advisory Board. He is a chartered financial analyst, a member of the Italian Journalist Association (freelance) and the author of many articles and texts on real estate and regional requalification.

Silvana Chilelli

CEO, Eurizon Capital Real Asset SGR

Silvana Chilelli holds an MBA from Columbia University, New York with a Beta Gamma Sigma award and a cum laude bachelor’s degree in Economy & Commerce from the University of Pavia. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Eurizon Capital Real Asset, the asset management company of Intesa Sanpaolo Group specializing in private alternative asset classes focused on the real economy. Prior to this, she was head of Alternative Investments and Special Projects in the Insurance Division of Intesa Sanpaolo. She spent many years in New York as an investment banker for JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch. She also managed the Strategy and Corporate M&A group for Deutsche Bank, North America and served as a strategic consultant at McKinsey. She received the “Fund Manager of the Year” award from the “Women in Finance 2018 Italy Awards” committee and she was included in the “Top 50 of Finance” ranking in Italy. Silvana Chilelli is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Cargeas, she is a former Board Member of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura, Valore D, and Filarete.

Carla Patrizia Ferrari

CFO, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo

Graduated in Economics, Carla Patrizia Ferrari is Chief Financial Officer of Compagnia di San Paolo. She works at Istituto Bancario San Paolo in Turin being responsible for the group banks, specialized in financing of local authorities and project finance. Appointed member of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. in 2013 -2015, she then became member of the Board of Directors of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti until 2018. From 2021 she is CEO of EQUITER – Investimenti per il territorio S.p.A., financial company specialized in infrastructure investment, where she also held the role of President from 2015 to 2021. Board Member of Prima Industrie S.p.A. from 2017 to 2020, from 2018 she is Vice President of Fondazione Links – Leading Innovation & Knowledge for Society. Since 2019 she is Counselor of LIFTT S.p.A and since 2020 she is President of Ambienta Sgr.

Luciano Gabriel

Chairman, PSP Swiss Property

Graduated in Economy and previously professor at Berna University, Luciano Gabriel is now Chairman of the Board of Directors of PSP Swiss Property, real estate company active in Switzerland and listed on SIX Swiss Exchange, with a real estate asset of 9 billion Swiss francs. He has been CEO of PSP Swiss Property from 2007 to 2017, and Financial Director of PSP Swiss Property from 2002 to 2007. From 1998 to 2002 he has been responsible for the Corporate Treasury and Finance of ZFS (currently Zurich Insurance). From 1984 to 1998 he held various managerial investment banking positions at Bank of Switzerland. In 2016 and 2017 he has been President of EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association), the European association of the major listed companies operating in the real estate sector.

Paolo Gencarelli

Head of Group Real Estate, Poste Italiane

Graduated in Civil Engineering at Università “La Sapienza” in Rome with an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, after a first experience in Accenture, he joined Bain & Company where he worked at purchasing and real estate projects. In 2006 he joined the Capitalia group as manager of the Real Estate area, following a merge with the Unicredit Group; he became CEO of Unicredit Real Estate and then Group Real Estate Manager. In this role, he managed projects of razionalization and innovation of branches networks and directional spaces, and valorization and dismission of real estate assets. From 2013 he has been responsible for the Group Real Estate & Supply Chain and, other than real estate activities, he managed the purchase processes and strategic initiatives for cost reduction. In July 2017 he joined Poste Italiane and now is Real Estate Manager.

Francesca Maione

Master graduated in Business and Economics and later in Law at Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”, Francesca Maione is specialized in Labour, Trade Union and Social Security Law, at Macerata University. She is now Director General of the National Council for the Employment Consultants Order. In the previous ten years she has been leading the National Council of Chartered Accountants and Auditors. With the 16 December 2019 Decree by the President of the Council of Minister, she has been nominated member of the Board of Directors of Inail, officially established on 28 April 2020. Within the BoD she chairs the Balance, Economic Planning and Purchases Commission.

Danae Maniatis

Independent ESG advisor

Danae Maniatis is an independent consultant and a specialist in environment and development with 13 years of broad experience in: tropical forest, climate change, climatic finance, biodiversity, nature-based solutions, satellite detections, partnership development (also with the private sector), project management and international policies development. She has worked with UNDP in Bangkok and New York. Before joining UNDP, she has worked for FAO in Rome focusing on REDD+. Danae has gained working experience in Asia, Africa, South and Central America. She supported the UNFCCC negotiations in technical support functions for various governments. Furthermore, she is member of the Royal Geographic Society and obtained a Master and a PhD at Oxford University.

Alberto Oliveti

President, ADEPP

Specialized in pediatrics, Alberto Oliveti has worked as general practitioner in Senigallia until 2020. Since 2012 he is the President of Enpam, the social security authority of physicians and odontologists, after having held the role of Board Director first and then of Deputy Vicepresident. Under his guidance, the authority has introduced the capital, welfare and staff regulations reforms which allowed him to guarantee an autonomous pension system with a 50 years sustainability. Since 2015 he has been also elected President of Adepp, the association that represents Italian social security funds.

Fabrizio Pagani

Global Head of Economics and Capital Market Strategy - Muzinich & Co. Ltd

Graduated in Political Science at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa with a Master at the European University Institute, Fabrizio Pagani is now Global Head of Economics and Capital Market Strategy at Muzinich & Co, Paris and Milan. He is also Professor in the Master in International Economic Policy at Sciences Po university in Paris. He writes for newspapers and media on current affairs and advises governments and international organizations on global issues. From 2014 to 2018 he was Head of the Office of the Minister of Economy and Finance in Rome and Member of the Board at Eni. In 2013 – 2014 he was G20 Sherpa and Senior Economic Counselor to the Prime Minister in Rome and beforehand Head of the G20/G8 Sherpa Office and Special Political Counselor to the Secretary General OECD, Paris.

Valeria Picchio

Technical Committee Coordinator, Assofondi Pensione

Graduated in Law with qualification for the legal profession, she deals with security and welfare since mid-nineties. Expert of security for the Cisl Confederation, she is co-author of publications dedicated to compulsory and complementary security. She is member of the pension fund committee dependent workers and of the CdA of Unisalute S.p.A. Since 2020 she coordinates the Technical Committee of Assofondipensione, association representing 31 contractual pension funds promoted by collective bargaining.

Mariangela Pira

Raffaello Ruggieri

Chief Lending Officer, Intesa San Paolo

Chief Lending Officer of Gruppo Intesa Sanpaolo, Raffaello Ruggieri has gained a solid experience in credit, finance and private equity, after having held responsible roles in fields like Corporate Turnaround and Financial Restructuring, Investment Banking and Coverage. His professional path starts in IBM, where he deals with innovation. He joins ISP in 1999 where in 2015 assumes the responsibility of the Structured Finance, after having been Manager of the Project Financing team. Since 2016 he works for Banca IMI, where he holds the position of Business Unit Corporate & Strategic Finance Manager, including the Investment Banking and Structured Finance activities; in 2018, he becomes responsible for the Global Corporate Direction. Since 2020 he is Chief Lending Officer of the Group and founder of innovative initiatives in the impact financing field throughout the Programmi Rinascimento. He is Deputy Chairman for the Task Force Finance and Infrastructure of B20 Italy.

Giuseppe Santoro

President, Inarcassa

Graduated in Architecture at Università degli Studi di Palermo in 1981 with a Master in Economy and Management of Complementary Pension, Giuseppe Santoro became Founding Architect of the Siracusa Order in 1981. Since 1982 he is an independent professional with a studio in Priolo Gargallo, especially focused on public works and environmental consulting. Since 2015 he is President of Inarcassa, the Italian National Pension and Security Fund for Engineers and Architects, role confirmed last July up to 2025. Delegate of the Siracusa province, he has been Secretary of the Statute Selected Committee, Secretary of the Adequacy Commission, Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee and Vice President throughout the 2010-2015 quinquennium. Beforehand he has been President of Arpinge in 2015-2016 and President of Assodire in 2020-2023.

Komal Sri Kumar

Komal Sri-Kumar is President of Sri-Kumar Global Strategies, Inc., a macroeconomic consulting firm based in Santa Monica – California, that he formed in January 2013 to advise multinational firms and sovereign wealth funds on global risk and opportunities. Prior to founding the firm, Sri worked at the Los Angeles-based Trust Company of the West (TCW) from 1990 to 2012, serving for the last several years as the firm’s Chief Global Strategist. From 1997 to 2015 he was the Chairman of TCW’s Comprehensive Asset Allocation Committee. Sri holds an M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University.

Stephane Villemain

Vice President Social Responsibility, Ivanhoé Cambridge

Stéphane Villemain is responsible for leading corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable investment strategies at Ivanhoé Cambridge, dealing with its main business groups and units. He establishes a working structure and oversees sustainability initiatives for properties, regional offices and corporate departments. His duties also include managing risks and opportunities arising from the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects associated with investments, such as climate change, carbon emissions and the well-being of the occupants. Before joining Ivanhoé Cambridge, Stephane was Director of Responsible Investment at PSP Investments, where he helped define and implement ESG strategies, policies and action plans for the private investment portfolio. He was previously Senior Manager of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at Ernst and Young. Stéphane graduated from École Polytechnique in Paris and AgroParisTech and holds a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from McGill University.

Architetto e urbanista, Stefano Boeri è Professore Ordinario al Politecnico di Milano e visiting Professor in diverse università internazionali.
Alla Tongji University di Shanghai dirige il Future City Lab, un programma di ricerca che esplora il futuro delle metropoli contemporanee.
E' Presidente di Triennale Milano e co-chair del Comitato Scientifico del World Forum on Urban Forests, organizzato insieme alla FAO. Dal 2020 presiede il Comitato Scientifico di ForestaMi.
A Milano, Stefano Boeri ha realizzato con il suo studio il Bosco Verticale: il primo prototipo di edificio che - con oltre 21,000 alberi e piante - integra la natura vivente come componente essenziale dell’architettura.
Lo studio Stefano Boeri Architetti, con sede a Milano e studi a Shanghai e Tirana, sta attualmente lavorando a progetti internazionali di architettura e urbanistica, con un particolare focus sulle implicazioni geopolitiche ed ambientali dei fenomeni urbani.

Da maggio 2013 a febbraio 2014 è stata Sottosegretario di Stato ai beni e alle attività culturali con delega al turismo.
A partire dal 2008 è stata responsabile della Corporate Social Responsibility di Autostrade per l’Italia e della capogruppo, curando la strategia di sostenibilità di gruppo e la redazione del Bilancio Integrato.
Dal 1999 al 2006 è stata responsabile delle Relazioni Istituzionali nazionali e internazionali della società Wind Telecomunicazioni. Precedentemente è stata direttore dell’Associazione Civita e Capo segreteria del Ministro delle Poste e Telecomunicazioni Antonio Maccanico.

Dopo un'intensa attività nel settore finanziario, assicurativo, del merchant banking e dell'asset management (Gruppo Montedison, Morgan Greenfeld, IMI, Capitalia, Sviluppo Finanziaria), è stato tra i primi in Italia a individuare nell'alta tecnologia e nelle telecomunicazioni un settore dalle forti e strategiche possibilità di sviluppo creando nel 2000 e.Biscom-FastWeb: così come oggi sta facendo nel campo delle biotecnologie e delle nanotecnologie attraverso una nuova start-up, Genextra, di cui è Presidente. In parallelo a liceo classico e laurea in scienze politiche all'Università Cattolica di Milano, ha effettuato studi musicali: pianoforte e composizione. Alberto Oliveti

Alberto Oliveti, nato a Roma il 2 agosto 1953, si è laureato in medicina ad Ancona nel 1980 ed è specializzato in Pediatria. Ha lavorato come medico di medicina generale a Senigallia sino al 2020.
Dal 2012 è presidente dell’Enpam, l’Ente di Previdenza dei medici e degli odontoiatri, dopo esserne stato a lungo consigliere di amministrazione e vicepresidente vicario. Sotto la sua guida, l’ente ha varato le riforme della gestione del patrimonio, della previdenza e dello Statuto che gli hanno consentito di garantire un sistema pensionistico autonomo e con una sostenibilità dimostrata a 50 anni. Oggi l’Enpam ha 371mila iscritti attivi, 124mila pensionati e un patrimonio di circa 23 miliardi di euro. Dal 16 dicembre 2015 è stato eletto anche presidente dell’Adepp, l’associazione che rappresenta gli enti di previdenza privati italiani. Il suo piano di lavoro alla guida dell’associazione delle Casse previdenziali è sintetizzato dall’acronimo Wise: Welfare, Investimenti, Servizi, Europa.

Laureato in Relazioni Internazionali presso l’università Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, con un master presso l’Istituto Universitario Europeo (IUE), Fabrizio Pagani è responsabile globale economia e strategie del mercato dei capitali in Muzinich&Co, società di investimenti con sede a New York, specializzata nel credito corporate pubblico e privato.
In precedenza, ha ricoperto ruoli accademici e di governo: è stato alto funzionario, e successivamente responsabile dell’ufficio sherpa G20/G8, presso l’Organizzazione per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo Economico di Parigi (OCSE); responsabile del personale del sottosegretariato di Stato, ufficio del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri italiano, presso l’OCSE a Parigi; sherpa G20 e consigliere economico senior del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri italiano.
È stato membro del CdA di ENI e responsabile dell’ufficio del Ministero Italiano dell’Economia e delle Finanze.
È stato inoltre professore ospite presso SIPA, Columbia University, University of Maryland e University of New York. È fondatore e presidente dell’Associazione M&M – Idee per un Paese migliore e ricopre attualmente il ruolo di professore ospite presso SciencesPo e LUISS.

Francesco Profumo

Francesco Profumo è nato a Savona nel 1953. Professore Ordinario di Macchine ed Azionamenti Elettrici al Politecnico di Torino e Professore incaricato all'Università di Bologna. Nel settembre 2003 il Prof. Profumo è diventato Preside della Facoltà di Ingegneria e dall'ottobre del 2005 ha ricoperto l'incarico di Rettore del Politecnico di Torino. E’ stato Presidente del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, ha ricoperto l’incarico di Ministro dell’Istruzione, Università e Ricerca nel Governo Monti, è stato Presidente del Council dell’Agenzia Spaziale Europea, è stato Presidente di IREN SpA, è stato Presidente di Inwit SpA. Francesco Profumo è Presidente di ACRI (Associazione di Fondazioni e di Casse di Risparmio SPA) dal maggio 2019, Presidente della Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo dal maggio 2016, Presidente del Collège des Ingégenieurs dal luglio 2014, Presidente della Business School ESCP dal settembre 2014, Presidente della Fondazione Bruno Kessler dal dicembre 2014.

Il Dottor Komal Sri-Kumar è il Presidente della Sri-Kumar Global Strategies, Inc., una società di consulenza macroeconomica, con sede in Santa Monica – California, fondata nel gennaio del 2013 allo scopo di consigliare le multinazionali ed i fondi sovrani circa i rischi globali e le opportunità.
Prima di costituire tale azienda, Sri ha lavorato presso la Trust Company of the West (TCW), con sede in Los Angeles, dal 1990 al 2012, dove ha ricoperto la funzione di Chief Global Strategist.
È stato Presidente del TCW’s Comprehensive Asset Allocation Committee, dal 1997 al 2015. Sri ha conseguito un Master in Economia presso la Scuola di Economia di Delhi, ed un Master in Filosofia e dottorato presso la Columbia University.
